I would just like to thank everyone who has made me feel so welcome on my first week; I know I have large shoes to fill. In order to continue the high standards set in the school, I have been, and will be, talking to all pupils and parents about the importance of full school uniform, including school shoes. As part of this I do understand the pressure on parents regarding the cost, but hope that you will welcome the opportunity to buy for functionality rather than for fashion. I hope you are able to support me in achieving this.
The school population continues to grow and I know I must work with the Governors and Local Authority to plan for this continued influx of children, especially at the younger end of the school. I am also aware that these numbers are putting more strain and stress on both the school and yourselves regarding nursery and lower school places.
I hope to arrange some informal parent drop in sessions to meet parents and share ideas or concerns that you may have individually or collectively.
Change of Dates
Initial parent consultation meetings will take place in the week of 10th October. Separate class letters will be sent out shortly explaining the times and arrangements.
