March 2020 - World Book Day

Reception enjoyed coming to school dressed in their pj's to celebrate World Book Day! They snuggled in their pj's to read a good book. Lots of children brought their favourite book into school to share with their friends. We were able to write about our books and why we liked them. We even found time to make masks so we could pretend to be our favourite character!

In the afternoon Year 5 came to share their favourite books with the children.

Throughout the day there was a genuine love of reading!

Dec 2019 - What happens when I fall asleep?

Last half term, Reception children tried answering the question 'What happens when I fall asleep?'. We shared our bedtime routines and learned that some of us do things differently. We spoke about our dreams and drew and painted pictures of them. We learned that some people have to sleep in the day because they stay up all night working! And some animals are awake all night too! We also spoke about the stars and that you can only see them at night time. It turns out, A LOT happens when we fall asleep!
