Feb 2020 - Volcanoes

Year 3 have had a fantastic half term learning about volcanoes and other natural disasters. We invited some of our parents to help the children construct a volcano from papier mache and modroc. Our classrooms looked like there'd been an earthquake afterwards but no villages were destroyed and most of the children were located afterwards!

During lesson times we painted our volcanoes, showing off our creativity and flair. Once they'd dried, we invited the parents back in to show simulated volcanic eruptions. Thankfully, everyone survived and once the lava cools we will be able to return to class.

Jan 2020 - Timetables Rock Star Launch Day

The Lions class swapped their roars for rock! 3O went out all pink! A brilliant day was enjoyed by all!

Dec 2019 - Tribal Tales

Our year 3 topic for this half term was ‘Tribal tales’. Throughout the topic we were learning about early life. We started our topic by visiting a roundhouse and learning about life during the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. We went to warrior school and became archaeologists. It was loads of fun. We made a timeline to show just how long ago the Stone Age really was. We made Stone Age tools and cave painting and we even learnt about Lindow Man.
