Bluebell Room ( Age 3)

Bluebells room comprises:

• A large classroom space designed with areas of learning 
• A kitchen area including mini dining tables to prepare meals and snack times.
• An area for intimate care including 3 toilets , handwashing  and nappy changing.
• A separate garden within a very large outdoor space 

This room includes children of mixed ages and staff plan and adjust the routines throughout the year to reflect this.

Staff who work with this amazing age range have wild imaginations and therefore  create play spaces and activities that will excite the children, encourage curiosity and provide awe and wonder. This includes messy play activities that can be limitless in their opportunities. 

Development and Needs

Concerns regarding the development of language and communication is quickly identified at our nursery  by utilising the Wellcomm screening process and a variety of other tools and resources. This includes  supporting parents with requesting referrals to other professionals and outside agencies. 

Numbers

Bluebell room can have up to 28 children at any one time.

The staff will follow either a one to four ratio or a one  to eight ratio depending on the age of the children .
