Sunflowers and Poppies Room

Sunflowers and  Poppies Room comprises of:

  • A  large class base areas 
  • Formal learning spaces. 
  • An area for intimate care including  multiple toilets and handwashing facilities
  • Kitchen facilities 
  • An exciting outdoor space that includes  fixed play equipment, mud kitchens, growing areas, race track for bikes, scooters and trikes , sand/ water construction  and  reading pods.
  • A forest school area 

 

Sunflower and Poppy room classes have been well designed to suit our pre school children . Within  the environment, children have the opportunity to  explore and thrive.

The room is led by a  full-time teacher who oversees the implementation of the early years curriculum. The early years curriculum consists of  3 prime areas and 4 specific areas.  The prime areas cover the knowledge and skills which are the foundations for children's school readiness. 

As the end of your child's time in nursery draws close, our team organise and implement a great transition programme to ensure children are equipped for the start of their formal education journey.

Numbers

Sunflower Room can have up to 32 children at any one time. Poppy Room can have have up to 28 children at any one time. We maintain child care ratios of one adult to eight children.

Funding & Fees 

Your child is eligible for funding. Please speak to nursery staff to find out if you qualify. 

If you child is funded, the funding may cover between 9 to 30 hours per week.  This hours can be utilized  flexibly over mornings, afternoons or they can be blocked together  to make an all day session.
